A few days prior while at TAS we decided that it would be a great idea to split a rental and make the trip up to Tochigi for Wondergames. The weather forecast wasn’t looking to great initially. Everyone we saw that headed up a day prior was getting stuck in snow and we were worried that it might be an issue with a rental that didn’t have snow tires. Fortunately it turned out to be one of the nicest days in Japan. Clear skies and good chilly temperature made for a great track day.

On the way to Nikko I spotted some nice fire trucks just chillin.

The entrance into Nikko Circuit looks like a cave to a secret base hideout. Crazy to think they fit some trucks through here. Look at the ground and the remnants of the snow fall from the night before.

First car I seen was Rodney’s fresh S15 Spec R rocking them custom 69 plates. He was also having issues getting around in this car in the snow but what a cool machines to have to cruise the streets of Japan.

Walking further in toward the pit entrance there was already a line up very nicely done street cars. Starting off with this Soarer sitting on bronze TE37s.

S15 with that white on white combo. You can’t beat this formula of OEM aero, Ganadors and TE37s.

Two tone S14 Zenki rocking Navan and a crazy two tone paint scheme.

I do miss owning a S14 and well if I still had it I think it would probably eventually end up looking like this (thats what I tell myself so I can sleep at night).

Dark green Silvia sitting next to it equally as clean and reminds of 2010 days.

JZXs showing some well worn battle scars but tidy and ready for action.

Seems like when Japanese people find a particular style or era of car that they like, they stick with it to the very end.

Street Wyse Kota @kota_the_yoda in his S15 headed out to get some laps in.

Mocomans and their signature yellow cars.

@sugamania_films Super clean red S13 silvia. Looks like they are gathered around trying to figure something out. Its always cool to see the comradery in the pits.

It is so well done and perfectly executed.

I remember at one point in life all I wanted was a clean silvia with SP1.

Yohei’s 180 sitting on them chromed out LMGT4 rocking a very Koguchi like livery.

What really was the coolest thing to see was entire families out at track just enjoying the cars and drifting. Could you imagine being 5 years old and this is a core memory?

I liked the variety of cars as well at this event. How often do you see one of these much less drifting as well.

A Signal R34 sedan. It was so well done and that paint job really speaks for itself. Seeing it in person was unreal.

That color just pops so good! And check out those brakes! I also think it had an RB28 to top it off. This car would easily look at home at TAS as a demo car.

Some track side action! Last corner after the pit entry.

Wonder S14 Kouki. Looks like a full comp car.

SkyMotors S15 with that Nstyle signature design.

Some track action!

I would say this is my favorite shot of the day.

Speaking of interesting cars. How is this for a drift car?

Very cool machine indeed. Also has JZX100 chaser headlights.

Car Modify Wonder and their collection of cars were literally PERFECT. Usually drift cars have their collection of battle scars and damage. Its ok to leave it as it gets quite expensive to constantly repair it and well let me say… if you can keep a car this clean at this caliber that is quite a feat in itself.

And its not like these cars just sit pretty in the pits.

They throw down quite hard!

Tomoyas FC with all the battle damage but he was getting down on track!

with his partner in crime Enokin @enokin8817 getting some hot laps in as well.

Its cool to see the GR86s out there on track getting some seat time in. Makes me excited to start driving mine on track.

Hardcore Soarer. Rare to see these as well but it looked great on track.

Midway through the track day I got to kick it with Cody @zerosync and chat about the cars we found cool at the track. We ventured over to the side with the Corollas and older Toyotas.

There was quite a few cars from older mark 2s to Skylines. And most of them were on the track too! One day I’d like to keep the GR and be that old dude at the track still enjoying my car.

John @jeruizh getting his cameo in my shot.

Orange Planning Corolla was getting down all day!

Another cool wagon going out for some laps.

Good ole Spirant. I vividly remember their two tone beige S13 from back in the day.

After a day of shredding tires gotta get some fresh ones installed.

Dad @rod_knee and mom @roxy_sathia taking a stroll in the pits.

The boys ready to head out from being out at track all day. Woke up early to make the drive. Thankful for the friends I have.

On the way out we spotted this cool FC looks like it will get some paint soon and be a very cool machine.

Ken Miuras rocket bunny 240z just casually parked up in the spectator parking.

Gassing up the Yaris for the 2 hour trek back home.

What a great event and hope to come back next year for the next Wonder Games. Glad you made it through this very long post and post a comment on which car you thought was the best! Until next time またね!
